General Data Protection Regulation Privacy Notice 2018
Under the new GDPR coming into force at the end of May 2018, I am required by law to document what personal information I keep for all clients, whether they be a one off appointment or regular clients.
At the time of your appointment I will take your name, address (where needed) and a contact telephone number with your consent and also any past hair/scalp history that you feel may impact on the service your having carried out.
All previous and future clients have a treatment card which records all the information above plus the notes of any chemical services you may be having or have had as well as the date of that service. These records cards are kept in a locked secure place to which I, Amanda Strother trading as Hairmony, have access.
I am required to keep this information for legal and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 7 years from your initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you are still a client of mine. You do have the right to see any information I keep and you can request that the data be changed or securely destroyed. If however you do request that records be destroyed I will no longer be able to carry out any services for you.
I do not use the information for anything other than to contact you regarding your appointment or to discuss matters relating to your hair.
I will not pass your personal information on to any third party.
I will not use your personal information for marketing purposes.
Any information given to me via the message service on my Facebook page, Hairmony-hair by Amanda Strother, or via my website, www.hairmony.co.uk is only accessible to me, Amanda Strother. You may request that once I have written your details on your record card that I can delete any messages which contains your personal information.
Any information given to me via text message on my mobile phone is accessible only by me and my phone is locked with a security code and fingerprint recognition. You may request that any text messages are deleted which contains your personal information.
